As Headteacher, I oversee the operational management of the Corby Sixth Form with a specific focus overseeing the quality of teaching and overall curriculum strategy.
Faculty Lead for STEM and Society | Raising Aspirations Coordinator
Currently, I teach all parts of the mathematics post-16 curriculum as well as computer science at The Corby Sixth Form. As a course manager, I play a pivotal role in the success of our students who study a wide range of our subjects.
Across both sixth forms within The Bedford College Group, I also lead on raising student aspirations by demystifying the Oxford and Cambridge application process, increasing awareness of Russell Group universities, and providing all students with opportunities to attend open days to local universities.
Faculty Lead for Creative Arts and Languages
I have held various pastoral and department leadership positions prior to working at The Corby Sixth Form. Before teaching I trained and worked in professional Theatre as Wardrobe Mistress, working on both West End and National Touring productions.
One of my first positions was part of the Olivier Award winning team creating the original West End production of the 39 Steps at the Criterion Theatre.
TEACHER OF MEDIA & FILM
I deliver on both Media and Film A level, working alongside students to develop their understanding of the media industries and the contexts that shape the media they consume as well as working on developing their practical filmmaking skills.
I have many years of editing experience and use my real world industry experience to shape my teaching, ensuring students are delivered an up to date education that prepares them for a career in the wonderful world of media.
TEACHER OF SCIENCE
I have taught Science in the further education sector for the past 5 years. My favourite topics within the Sciences relate to human health and how the body works.
Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages
I have been teaching Spanish in schools for several years in the Midlands. I also work as an examiner.
I am passionate about fostering a love of languages and providing young people with the opportunity of an education that allows them to realise their potential and fulfil their aspirations.
Teacher of Art
I am delivering Fine Art, Photography, Textiles and Graphic Design A Level at The Corby Sixth Form. I have taught across a variety of art courses for 3 years at College and have a keen interest in fine art.
I love to learn and teach myself new skills and I can’t wait to pass my creative knowledge onto the prospective students joining soon!
